Tadariss, which stands for “irregular landscape relief” in Arabic, is a collection of desk accessories made from wood and marquetry. By their assembly and shapes, the wooden layers create a fluid and elevated movement. Several wooden strata of different origin, grain and thickness are assembled. The cohesion between the different layers reflects the diversity of social groups and Lebanese communities we work with, in exemplar harmony and complementarity. Marquetry is a regional traditional crafts technique where several pieces of wood are assembled to form geometric patterns. Thin layers are then cut and applied. The marquetry technique is integrated with innovative carpentry in order to blend modern and traditional styles, staying through to l'artisan du Liban's mission. This collection consists of office and home accessories.
