Assia, a Lebanese village located in the Batroun area of North Lebanon, is well known for its centuries-old pottery techniques but unfortunately with time, only 2 households remain on making pottery. Originally learning her craft from her mother, Mrs. Jabbour has been making pottery for almost 20 years and depends on it.

The Assia pottery collection is made from natural clay, a mix of quartz-like gravel and water retrieved from the village's grounds. Without using any pottery machine, each bowl and pot goes through a 6-day process and is dried naturally. To keep the bowls and pots the most organic possible no varnish is applied. Because the technique is fully handmade, each bowl and pot has its own specificities and may differ slightly from the display picture.
